Epoch started a new competition in detecting malaria
Team Epoch is participating in the "Malaria Detection" competition, organized by Lacuna Fund, aiming to develop AI models that accurately identify malaria parasites in blood slide images. This effort focuses on early-stage diagnosis, crucial for effective malaria treatment, particularly in high-risk regions like Uganda and Ghana. Using locally sourced datasets, the models are designed to minimize diagnostic biases and improve detection accuracy.
We became #1 in the kelp competition, defeating 670 participants
Students from the TU Delft Artificial Intelligence Dream Team Epoch achieve 1st place in an international AI competition with the goal of developing a model that assists researchers in monitoring kelp forests.
Using machine learning we improve the way medicine is developed
Team Epoch is competing in Leash Biosciences' challenge to predict protein-ligand binding using the BELKA dataset. With 133 million interactions, the goal is to develop AI models that enhance targeted drug delivery for cancer treatment. This effort aims to innovate and streamline drug discovery.
Epoch started a new competition in identifying bird calls
The goal of the competition is to categorise bird species based on audio samples of their calls recorded in forests. This can streamline researchers’ practices and help them gain new insights.
